Babbacombe Model Village

This outdoor model village was opened in 1963 by Tom Dobbins. Mr Dobbins had previously opened another model village at Southport in 1957. This wondeful exhibition covers 4 acres and includes over 400 models along with over 1,000 ft of model train track.

Representing over 5 decsades worth of English history these miniature gardens and houses complete with vehicles, characters and animated features is not to be missed. Also famous for its wonderful gardens there is something for both young and old to admire.

There are several extra special features including a “4D” theatre, which is a multi-sensory theatre showing amazing 3D films with surprise special effects. For summer 2009 showing ‘The Curse of Skull Rock’ Join captain Scabb and his motley crew in their search for the pirates treasure.

As with many of Torbay attractions a lot of effort is made to host special events. Summer Evening illuminations, Halloween Horrors, Winter Wonderland & Father Christmas are few of these. Visit the website to see more and find out dates and opening times.
