Hotels & Self-Catering
As you would expect there are lots of places to stay in and around Babbacombe. Accommodation can be found on both sides the road which winds down through Babbacombe to Torquay from St. Marychurch.
Babbacombe Downs has an excellent selection of hotels which run behind the green and face out across Lyme Bay to Teignmouth and beyond. Self catering can be found across the whole of Torbay, with Torquay being the most dominant provider. The views are stunning and the ambience is great. There are restaurants and bars all very close by and the beaches can be reached by a short walk or a trip down the famous funicular railway.
Babbacombe Theatre and the new Cary Arms hotel and restaurant (De-Savary) are only a few minutes down the hill toward Babbacombe beach. This is a very steep hill and may not be suitable for those who may not be too well conditioned! The Cary Arms has its own selection of private self catering and needs to be booked directly.
