BABBACOMBE THEATRE The history of Babbacombe Theatre goes back 90 years. In 1920 a small bandstand was built where the Theatre now stands. In 1935 this was followed by a larger outddor and canvass covered structure with a canvas, but despite the outdoor entertainment, the weather often won! In 1938 the Babacombe Downs Concert Hall was built and until the present management took over in 1986 remained almost the same.
